Identification:Business members receive a membership plaque to display identifying them as members of Cherokee County's most active and progressive business organization. New members will also receive recognition in local newspapers and during the first Good Morning Cherokee Breakfast attended.

Ribbon Cuttings & Groundbreakings:The Chamber organizes these ceremonies in order to promote new businesses, expanded or remodeled businesses, new business locations and new owners of existing businesses. Photos are featured in local media outlets, the Chamber's newsletter, VISIONS, and at CherokeeChamber.com

Membership Directory:Your listing in this publication is a vital part of your membership package. It is the tool for making business referrals. All Chamber member main contacts receive an annual updated edition. Directories are updated on a weekly basis as members join throughout the year.

Expanding Your Knowledge:Training Classes for various types and sizes of businesses, pertaining to business growth and development, are offered. Programs vary annually based upon suggestions by the Chamber membership. Past workshops have covered such topics as: How to Market your Business, Making the Most of Networking Opportunities, Interviewing Top Performers and Business Accounting.

Promotional Opportunities:Chamber member businesses are able to display brochures, business cards and promotional materials in the Chamber lobby. You may also include promotional materials in gift bags at certain Chamber events and promote your business through door prize donations. If you want to notify the Chamber membership regarding who you are and what services you provide, mailing labels are available for a nominal fee.

Sponsorships:Sponsorship opportunities, which are highlighted in our 2009 Sponsorship Booklet, are available for a variety of Chamber events.

New Business Contacts:Chamber members make personal and professional connections by attending networking programs designed to maximize business exposure in a variety of formats. Monthly networking events include: Business After Hours, 12@12 Networking Luncheons, and our Good Morning Cherokee Breakfast.

Community Involvement:When you volunteer for Chamber committees, you gain the opportunity to study community needs in-depth and develop creative solutions to the business community's concerns. Chamber committees offer you a chance to help shape the future of Cherokee County!

Business Referral:Consumers look to the Chamber to recommend businesses. When they ask, we refer only our members.

Website:As a member, you will be listed in our online membership directory at CherokeeChamber.com. Your listing will include company name, main contact, address, telephone, fax, email, website and can even include a map to your location. Additional enhancements - including graphics, a highlighted listing, and a "pop to the top" feature - can be added for an additional fee.

Discounted Insurance:Chamber member businesses with 2-50 employees are eligible for discounted group health coverage. Dental, Life, Disability, Vision and Long Term Care coverage discounts are also available.

$hop Local Promotion:Keeping Cherokee dollars in Cherokee County is promoted through $hop Cherokee Gift Certificates. Over $105,000 worth of certificates were sold in 2008 with more than 70 Chamber member redeeming merchants. Participation in the $hop Cherokee Gift Certificate program can increase your sales by bringing new customers to your door.

Advertising Discounts: New members can immediately save on local media advertising cost through discounted ad rates totaling over $1,000.

Drugs Don't Work:The Drugs Don't Work program can assist your business in their efforts to establish a drug free workplace. Members meeting the five step criteria are eligible for a 7 1/2% Worker's Compensation reduction.

Communications:The ChamberLink, published weekly and distributed via email, fax or U.S. Mail, keeps members posted on the Chamber's initiatives. While VISIONS, the Chamber's bimonthly mailed newsletter, includes information regarding upcoming events and member involvement opportunities. The newsletter also highlights recent groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings. Local media also supports the Chamber through promotion of the organization's programs and services.

Existing Industry Services:The Chamber is focused on the priorities associated with existing industries' needs. Appreciation to local manufacturing/distribution companies is expressed annually through the "Operation Thank You" gift distribution. A comprehensive Industrial Guide is available from the Chamber at a nominal cost.

Regional Issue Awareness:Issues that affect not only Cherokee County but the entire region such as transportation, air quality and water are highlighted through quarterly informational sessions. The Chamber is also a member of the Regional Business Coalition (RBC), a recognized leader in identifying and advocating sustainable solutions that foster greater economic vitality by building consensus, shared commitment and the cooperation of chambers of commerce in the Atlanta region.
