Is your business making efforts to conserve resources? Are you recycling, purchasing items in bulk or conserving water and power? The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is recognizing businesses that are making efforts to reduce their impact on the environment.

The program is designed to be an uncomplicated process that will support current efforts and hopefully encourage additional efforts taken for conservation.  The program is also striving to reinforce that conserving resources also conserves finances.

The program includes seven categories: solid waste prevention, recycling, purchasing, energy conservation, water conservation and water quality, transportation and stakeholder involvement.  Participants will commit to pursuing requirements in some or all of the categories along with taking the Green Pledge.  The pledge simply confirms your commitment to use environmentally friendly practices personally and in your business.
